a Friday thought.

We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned
so as to accept the life that is waiting for us.

- Joseph Campbell

I saw this quote on a blog today and I thought, this Joseph Campbell guy must be pretty smart.  So I went and read up on him.  He's quite an interesting person you know.  He was good friends with one of my all time favorite novelists, John Steinbeck, and he believed that all the religions in the world are just cultural variations of the same  fundamental truths.  Anyways, here's what he thought about the journey of life:
If you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. Wherever you are—if you are following your bliss, you are enjoying that refreshment, that life within you, all the time.
Doesn't reading that just make you feel better about everything?

Lately I've been feeling like I've been running in place.  I have so many things that I want, need to do, but I just can't seem to get it all done.  It's good just to breath and take in the moment.  I forget to do that sometimes.
